Every day we’re surrounded by people who are looking for something. They’re looking for attention, for opportunity, someone to notice them, for change. Jesus had a knack for noticing these people. He not only noticed them, He met their need(s). We endeavor to do the same. To not only notice people, but also meet their needs. To provide a boost, a leg up an open door to experience ALL that God has to offer.
There’s two motivations for climbing a tree. One is to get away from something. The other is to be able to see something you can’t see from the ground.
Many years ago in a town named Jericho a man climbed a tree in order to see something…actually someone. What he saw led to his life being forever transformed.
We want to help people experience a similar transformation in their life. Many times all it takes is a little change of view..
To be a blessing, it first involves seeing the needs and then an ability to meet it. Through SYCAMORE we reach the needs of ministries, pastors and students.
Most will never climb a Sycamore Tree let alone see one. But they will see you. They will see us. Hopefully by that simple fact they’ll in turn see Jesus.
We want to reach 50 locations within the state of Minnesota (where we’re based) and at least one location in every single state.
Galatians 6:10
Opportunities come our way in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes it’s in a conversation or a radio add. Other times it’ll be something we read, or a God type thought that enters our minds.
Noticing these moments is one thing. What we do with them makes all the difference.
As we continue to see SYCAMORE’s impact grow we endeavor to be a blessing. A blessing to those we see every day and those who we may never met.
By focusing on being a blessing we’ll see lives transformed, vision realized and the mission accomplished.

What is the coolest thing you’ve seen? A Ferrari, a fireman carrying out a victim, a hole in one or maybe it was the reunion of a soldier and their family. Regardless of what it was, it’s interesting how those images are burned in our memory. How those moments will be carried with us for the rest of our lives.
Jesus can have and does have that type of impact on people. But before that can happen people need to see Him first. They need to have an encounter first.
How many people could experience a transformation if they were to see Jesus? The simple answer is: all of them. The idea behind SYCAMORE is to help others see Jesus as WE live our lives in honor of Him.
If given the opportunity, we could all list a few individuals that helped us see Jesus. We now, get to be a SYCAMORE for someone else.
